What's New

What is new? To me is something that was not seen, tried, eaten or used before. Something we are not familiar yet but we want to know about it. In society new is considered as something improved, upgraded, and yeah I believe that. People want to use the new thing to stay current. But things that are being made are not improved that much. When movies were made as far as I know people bought videotapes or VHS tapes. Then DVDs have come and we buy cause of deleted scenes and more features and the quality of the screen. Now there are Blue Rays and I really don't care much what new features it has. The movie is still the same the way I saw the movie the first time.New brands of shoes will come. Foods will be sold with newer flavors or just in a different bags like Cheetos or different colored cereal boxes and is "new and improved" Programs like Microsoft office or Adobe will keep improving.
So, what? We have to keep buying same programs just because of newer features? We are pressured, however, to stay current with what goes in the world. OR at least to try something new cause it brings interest. If people who were math majors or art majors or in a profession in the past had their degrees they still have to go to school again to learn current lessons.
To be honest I don't have a point to this whole speech but things are improving little by little. If I just bought an ITouch I wouldn't think of buying another type a month later because the ITouch is new and improved by the design. Maybe for another year or two unless things have really changed in an Itouch.
