- ignore the finals assignments and do it the last minute when it blows up in your face
- do it early and get it over with
- if test, just get help from people, (in which I meant studying with)
- look in the internet
- eat well, unless you want people to hear the dragon

Finals and Progress
Finals are a pressure to every student. I'm sure everybody can relate. You have a deadline to do one final assignment, which consists of typing a bunch of pages and you have to like 8 to 10 pages and more. I really don't like typing especially if I can't think of any other thing to put. Sometimes finals can be tests and you have to study all the things from the first day you were in class. Takes a long time to remember all the stuff in my head. It' s funny how many people show up the first day of classes and then don't show 4 the rest of the days unless a midterm or final comes. What you can do to get this finals thing over with is:

Holidays
I didn't go anywhere on Black Friday. I wouldn't want to be in a line or have to get through huge crowds of people, especially when they are in a hurry for some amazing deal they never seen before. Even in grocery stores, the places are packed with people eager with shopping carts. I agree with what Sam said about how people just buy stuff that's available and don't think about if they need it at all. They could find better deals online or just wait. To me it's not worth trying to pull a box of a fancy television with another angry person just for a dumb deal and get shot for it. In the holidays, you may think things are cheaper, when in fact they get much more expensive. Take Thanksgiving as an example, where the price of a turkey raises high by the amount of pounds. In the Christmas season, things will be expensive because its that time of the year. Nobody would buy a Christmas tree on July, but it may be cheaper and you may have people staring at you all confused.
The Programs
Out of all the programs from Adobe, Photoshop seems to be the best suited for me. I have worked long on that program where I know most shortcuts or messing with the layers for an image. I like to use the gradient, the filters, layer styles or doing the things I learned in Photography class. Eventually I realized that I will have to depend on the other programs if I want art pieces to be finished. In Illustrator I would use to mess with the fonts, letters, shapes and making designs. It is useful i I want to make a logo or make abstract images. I would use Dreamweaver just to make webpages and learn to organize my work better.
There are many I haven't messed with but all I know is that if I want to make a flyer or an advertisement, combinations of Photoshop and Illustrator will have to be used to get the works fitted as best as you want. But as I said before, Photoshop is what I'm most familiar and I'm getting better at it.

Would it pay off?
What I learn about graphic design does connect in the real world. Sure it's something you have to do on a computer but it can be applied to things for art. Whether it is drawing, painting, taking pictures, web design they connect to each other. I could make a site that shows the things I've done in art classes. It applies to other subjects like math, business or cooking. Why? Because if the person wants to be promoted for his or her work in making cakes, music making, offering tutor service to students, a web page or a flyer made by graphic designers would help make it happen.
Sometimes I ask myself if what I do in school pays off, but I like to think it does and it will.

Again Technology
Yea. It's another discussion about technology. I do find it amazing how gadgets will improve more day by day even if it was a simple adjustment. When companies make a product they would put a new feature even if that feature was not worth it, the companies would raise the price. For instance, the movies in DVD are now getting cheaper than those of Blue Ray, because supposedly Blue Ray movies are newer and have more enhancement and clearer to watch. Okay, that may be worth a little more than a DVD movie. But sometimes the products are raised more in price just because the movie cover is designed better than the old version or that there is a commentary or deleted scenes. I really would rather focus on the movie and nothing else. Maybe if they change the color of the lens of the movie or that the movie be put in a special case would have the price of it $5 more plus tax. All part of business.

The Day after Thanksgiving
Watch out for Black Friday as it is a time when people get all greedy and hurry for some deal they never seen of a fancy HD TV, new clothes, new jewelry. It's every man and woman for themselves. I think it pushes the line when people just don't have moral on how they act when buying something. You see all those commercials with "the hottest deals" just trying to get people to go in the midnight and wait a line. When all of a sudden the store opens, people push each other, get in arguments for the favorite computer and who knows what happens just to get a PS3 or some pointless gadget. So much for the recession that people complain about if they packing money for stores. Screw this! It just shows how materialistic we still are and would kill each other for it. I feel sorry for the workers who work at that time.(of course I do hear they get paid more)
After Thanksgiving, people get stuffed for food and sleep and think that's what it's all about. Well maybe yeah. But it shouldn't be this way. People should just think of what they got and be grateful for what they gained in the years. Who knows what Christmas holds, because there are already commercials for the Christmas holiday when it's not even December. You can shop on Black Friday. There's nothing wrong with waking up in the cold and getting a coffee to go wait in an extended line outside. Plus there are still some deals later in the day. Just be aware of what happens in the stores and shop responsibly. Happy Thanksgiving!

So far...
So far I am getting better at making websites. I am knowing how to put the classes and setting up the divs. I am still having trouble on setting up the links or knowing how to make it fit the content box. I still have a trouble of putting the divs on the right place. Once I fix the positioning, the box ends up going to a place I do not want. Sometimes I have to set up the divs first and organize where each one goes in what place.
I still trying to check the web pages and from others to compare and see what I have done wrong. Once I know the mistakes and the exact codes, I would handle everything. For exercise 8 it seemed easy once I know how to put the codes and when submitting the form,it was sent to my email address.

Games
Video games are not as bad as people think. It is way to kill time. It is a form of entertainment. My friends usually play sport games on PS3, but those games bore me. Mostly over 8 hours they still press their fingers on those buttons just for the entertainment of it even if they have to pay a high electric bill. I mostly play fighting games, or adventure ones or something that makes me smarter. You know, the ones where you gotta use your mind to know how to pass a level or how to defeat the boss. Otherwise I'll just use cheats which I always do. Recently I stopped playing video games so I prefer just watching(unless the player really sucks at passing a level)

About Blogger
Blogging isn't really my thing. Since it's an assignment, I have to do it. I did like to customize the page which i did just a few minutes ago because I was bored. But I still would try to put something meaningful or at least meaningful 4 me to put on my blogs. Mostly about what I feel, what I think of issues and other observations. They're also my own philosophies. Many things I might say people may not agree with. But hey, that's just the way I am. Plus there's nothing wrong with expressing ones self as I sometimes have a problem with that. So Ill keep blogging random stuff that people might find interesting or not and keep expressing about things about every day life. That's what Bloggers 4 I believe.
P.S.- I get lazy at this

Taste of Music
To me rap should be about talking about what you feel, or what you going through. Most hip hop music I hear is the same. Money, sex, drugs, seem to be the biggest topic for rappers to rap. I stopped settling for this genre as I listen to other styles of music from 70s, 80s, oldies, soul, rock and many others. Don't get me wrong, I still hear rap and hip hop music as there are artists who do talk different issues that are about life and are redundant in the music.
Expanding your mind with different music tastes will be convenient to know more about issues of life. Most of the songs from artists talk about music or about what happened to their friends or another one about being stuck in a desert. That is odd, but it's interesting for me to listen about. Yes, I do pay attention to the lyrics an artist makes. Others just be talking some story and some simple lyrics and believe me that those techniques an artist make are hits. When it comes to rap, however, people aren't trying anymore.

I Don't Know
Not much into technology. If something was made then I just want to use it. To live in the world where inventions were made. You think people who have cars from 1950s wanted to know how it was made. Well, some do if they want to make the car fast or stronger in the bumpers and a good paint job. But no, people just want to ride the car and enjoy life. Some people want to live the experience and enjoy the moment like on parties, the day you get a cellphone and special times. I'm living in a world where people use small gadgets to listen music, watch television and do some cool fancy stuff. As for me I'll take advantage of these times.

Fonts,fonts,fonts
Ever since I saw the documentary Helvetica, I realized many things about LeTtErS. They're everywhere. In computers, signs, billboards, name tags and so on. I never paid much attention to the fonts by the size, the color the shape and other features. Once I started messing with fonts in Illustrator I started to appreciate more that there is a uniqueness of styles that are used. Mostly to give a message and some for advertising and entertainment. Well if you haven't noticed already, I am mixing words with different styles just to give my message of what I'm talking about. They areTHEY'RE EVERYWHEREsomething to notice.

Meanwhile
So far, doing the web page for the midterm has been a long process to finish. I have put pictures and fixing the exercises because those seem harder to fix. I still feel a little behind on knowing to fix the pages to the right height and width. I feel like I have made progress as I learned making animation GIFs, connecting a page to another and connecting to my home page like the exercises connecting with the midterm page and other links like the blogs.
With Dreamweaver I am getting better at making pages but Im focusing more on knowing the codes. The page does look as I want it, but when I put it to MAC, theres too much space on the page, making my midterm page bad. I guess I need to experiment more with my pages to get better.

When gadgets Expire
If technology was lost, people would go crazy. Why? We are too dependent on it for school, work, social networking and entertainment. Pretty much your whole life. Back then there weren't computers in school. We depended on books and writing which I thought was kind of simple. I prefer to write instead of typing some assignment which im forced to do for a class when inks for printers get expensive. Think about it. No internet, there won't be advertisements. I wouldn't be making a blog as we speak. I would not have Web class because internet connection is gone or computers don't work. If there were no videos or gadgets that use electricity we would find our lives boring and have to start over the stone age. The way the Amish or people who don't rely on techs don't have a problem in the ways of life. Maybe they live normal and good lives by doing outside hobbies all the time. However, I still want to watch movies, hear music and live with entertainment. Plus technology is needed for hospitals, lights on the streets and transportation. It will be tough to get used a world where we live with new habits if technology was ever lost.
What's New
What is new? To me is something that was not seen, tried, eaten or used before. Something we are not familiar yet but we want to know about it. In society new is considered as something improved, upgraded, and yeah I believe that. People want to use the new thing to stay current. But things that are being made are not improved that much. When movies were made as far as I know people bought videotapes or VHS tapes. Then DVDs have come and we buy cause of deleted scenes and more features and the quality of the screen. Now there are Blue Rays and I really don't care much what new features it has. The movie is still the same the way I saw the movie the first time.New brands of shoes will come. Foods will be sold with newer flavors or just in a different bags like Cheetos or different colored cereal boxes and is "new and improved" Programs like Microsoft office or Adobe will keep improving.
So, what? We have to keep buying same programs just because of newer features? We are pressured, however, to stay current with what goes in the world. OR at least to try something new cause it brings interest. If people who were math majors or art majors or in a profession in the past had their degrees they still have to go to school again to learn current lessons.
To be honest I don't have a point to this whole speech but things are improving little by little. If I just bought an ITouch I wouldn't think of buying another type a month later because the ITouch is new and improved by the design. Maybe for another year or two unless things have really changed in an Itouch.

Technology
IPods, IPhones, IPads I give up. Technology is all nonstop. In my point of view there would be changes in technology in the future. Whether if one day cars would be able to fly or when people just need a pill to get all the nutrients for a day or adjustable clothing that would fit anybody's size without buying another one because of the wrong size (like Back to the Future 2). I could see why people would be scared that technology is advancing so much to what extent it would reach. People I knew were used to simple gadgets like record players and cassettes as others would watch black and white television and to be turning the knob to change a channel. Now they just need a little device with a bunch of songs and other features. Now there is a flat screen television with enhanced colors that does not take the whole space of a room. I could see why people would be nervous, because everything they were used to is now changing and the older generation would have to remember their time in memory. Eventually I would feel the same when I am older and the moments I used to live are now changing. Who knows what the future holds and about the issues about robots, because I keep an open mind of what could happen

About Music
Music is one of the things that is important in life. In my opinion, people would be bored of life if there were no musics to which people can sing about, dance, or express. People get motivated by the rhythms they hear, the sounds or the voice of the singer. They can be slow type of songs that makes a person relax or quick songs where people would be break dancing or doing something they won't remember if they were drunk. Some just want to hear the bass of a song and hear it high volume while others like to hear lyrics from artists and feel the messages they can relate to.
Music is filled with all kinds of styles, speeds, sounds and messages. I like hearing all kinds of music from different styles, even if they were old songs from 10 or 40 years back. If it sounds good to me I would listen to it. I plan to explain more about this topic for my midterm.

About Dreamweaver
So far, I get the codes and to experiment the links, designs and moving the divs around the page. The only trouble I had was managing the sites or to organize where to put it and to make sure its labeled right. Gladly I am starting to get the hang of it I just need to get used to using the Mac a little more.
My 1st Blog
